Lauren Turton is a dynamic entrepreneur and creator, renowned for empowered countless global clients to launch their dream online ventures from the comfort of their laptops. With her achievements, including speaking on international stages, writing a #1 best-selling book, and being featured in Forbes, Lauren is now on a passionate crusade to uplift women everywhere. Her mission is to inspire women to live unapologetically, stand tall in their truth, and fiercely protect their peace.

She was seeking updated branding to reflect her evolving identity and to develop the framework for her website. My goal was to create a brand and online presence that resonates with her powerful mission and vibrant personality.

We moved away from her previous black and gold theme. Her new palette included pink hues which highlighted her sensitivity and passion, while orange hues captured her joy and determination. We embraced Montserrat Classic Bold for headers, Tenor Sans for callouts, and TT Interphases for body text to ensure readability and inclusivity.

Using this refreshed identity, we wireframed the website in Figma. Although the project halted at this stage due to Lauren's pivot to a new role, it was a rewarding experience to be part of her evolving mission.

Learnings

✅ Learning Figma — This project was my first introduction to Figma, offering a great way to collaborate live with the client and iterate quickly on design ideas.

✅ Exploring Showit — The client planned to move the design into the Showit platform, which, like Figma, provides a user-friendly interface with some limitations. This transition highlighted the importance of choosing platforms that balance creative freedom and usability.

⚠️ Opportunity — The experience underscored the value of being adaptable and proficient with multiple design tools, enabling smoother transitions between different platforms as client needs evolve, and being flexible to changes in project timelines.
